Pre-College Track: ABRSM Practical and Theory
This is an Internationally recognized course and is used as the standard for entry to the profession across the world. Students will receive a one-to-one lesson with Dr. Fleetwood, and a group theory class weekly. We recommend all incoming students begin with the ABRSM course until at least Grade 5. Completion to Grade 8 ensures students know all major and minor scales and arpeggios, have a broad based repertoire, and are fully-prepared to commence college level theory. All colleges in the UK stipulate Grade 8 as an entry requirement. Your course fees will include both your piano lesson and your theory class on this track. .
Recreational Track: Piano For Fun
Students who have completed Grade 3, but preferably Grade 5 on the Pre-College Track may switch to the recreational track. On the recreational track you can decide whether you want to play worship piano, classical repertoire, or contemporary styles. Perhaps there's music from a video game or TV Show that you wish to play. Students on this track will not receive theory training but will receive a one-to-one lesson.
